Where did my path of Spiritual development start?

I was born in Woodstock, Cape Town, South Africa, a suburb which was far removed from an affluent society. My parents were poor by local standards and thus there were no luxuries of any form in the home.

My parents, however, gave a lot of their time and talents (especially my very talented mother) to working for charity (unpaid), which influenced my adult life.

I grew up during the apartheid era, and I was exposed to the unfairness of separation based on colour and creed at a young age. I could never understand why whites were regarded as superior to anybody who had a different skin colour. There was not only discrimination based on colour but also on language/heritage, as my dad was often overlooked for promotion in the Post Office because he was of English & not Afrikaans descent.

The opportunity to grow up in a society based on discrimination, which was supported by many of the religious leaders in South Africa at that time, helped me to realise the power of indoctrination, which is so prevalent in the so-called modern world today.

I had to go to the Methodist Sunday School as a young child and recall sitting in the church when the minister told the congregation that unless we complied with the religious rules and regulations we would be doomed to go to hell and not heaven. So, I knew I would go to this so-called hell!

I could not accept that unless I believed in Jesus, as glorified by religion, and committed to living according to Christian principles that I would be doomed to hell on my death, as that implied that all other humans on the Earth Plane who did not follow these principles would be doomed to hell.

I therefore questioned religion from a young age, and I was constantly looking for an answer as to what life was all about.

The answer was given to me many years later when I survived an event in which I should have been murdered. I realised that there was a higher force or energy that protected me and that it was not my time to die. This event, although extremely frightening, took away my fear of death.

I couldn't understand why I was spared but the answer to that was given to me when I was guided to the Christian Spiritualist church in the Isle of Man many years later.

I initially thought that spiritualism was a load of nonsense as the medium at my first service seemed to be a bit lost. I was persuaded to return to the church, and I was amazed to receive messages from my mother.

It was at one of the services in the Isle of Man that I met Sheila Margarets, who was a fantastic, no-nonsense medium. Sheila took me under her wing and during the course of the following 12 years Sheila mentored me to the extent then I was able to interpret and explain her writings and messages from Spirit during our weekly and eventually daily telephone calls.

This culminated in Sheila allowing me to publish the messages and her writings into book form (Light, Love and Soul Progression) as I believe that the messages are very important to open the eyes and hearts of humans to the Light and Love available for all from the World of Spirit.

I have always tried to live my life based on principles of fairness as all the experiences during my time in South Africa and beyond helped me to stand up for those principles despite often being in the minority and at times ostracised by society.

I am now happy to dedicate my time to working for Spirit to bring the message of Light, Love and Hope to all those humans who are suffering as a result of actions beyond their control.

I would also like to focus on having respect for all forms of life on the Earth Plane, especially the forms of life which have no voice such as the Animal Kingdom (on land, in the sea & in the air), Mother Nature (we cannot exist without the beauty and functioning of the forests) and the air that we breath.

I know that the message of life beyond death and the continuation of the soul’s existence for eternity (as with talking to the “dead”) goes against the majority of religious teachings and I have no doubt that the message of spiritualism will not be welcome by many people who have been indoctrinated by religious and political teachings.

It is important that economic, political, and religious leaders understand, as with all humans, that all thoughts, words, and deeds undertaken whilst in the body are recorded by our souls and will be reviewed together with the impact of those actions, when we take our transition back to the World of Spirit.

I often get messages through mediums from my parents apologising for their behaviour as since they've returned to the World of Spirit they have seen the consequences of their actions and the impact upon my life as a young boy.

I have been gifted with the ability to forgive and therefore I forgave my parents many years ago because I understand the circumstances under which they made their decisions and took the actions.

And so…. I have been guided by Spirit to publish the book, Light, Love and Soul Progression as the start of my service on behalf of Spirit to be part of the team to bring Light where there is Darkness, Love where there is Hatred, and Sharing where there is Greed.
